It's a bug in the android app. The answer is generated quickly, but the android app use forever to notice that the response has been generated.

Ask your question, then swap to a different conversation, then swap back to your current conversation, and the app will fetch the answer quickly.

This bug has been in the app for months, Idk if nobody reported it, or Merlin just can't be arsed fixing it. I have not reported it.
