Dear Merlin Team!
I am a paying user and rely on your service for important work and knowledge management projects. I recently accidentally deleted a chat thread—simply by clicking once—without any warning or chance to undo. In my opinion, this is a serious design flaw.
I strongly urge you to implement two basic features as soon as possible:
  1. A clear confirmation dialog (“Are you sure you want to delete this? This action cannot be undone.”) before deleting any chat.
  2. An option to restore recently deleted conversations, e.g., via a “trash bin/recently deleted” view (with a time limit, e.g., 7 or 30 days).
These are standard features in almost every other productivity or communication tool, and for users who invest significant time and data in your service, they are essential for trust and reliability. I hope you’ll consider this!
Best regards,
I
