Z.ai and Minimax have new models available. I find myself using Merlin less which is sad because this platform doesn't have the new OS models up to date.

We have GPT 5.5 for a while, New minimax, new z.ai, new kimi model, new claude model
And merlin still no change. Merlin uses OpenRouter i believe but yet still not implementing simple API on their backend server to route it, which shouldnt take longer than few minutes to implement. Why are you not being transparent Merlin? I am here paying for chatgpt plus + paying you, but heavily using chatgpt, keeping Merlin as backup to try different models if it comes so my money i pay to your service maybe im using 5% of my monthly allowance per month and still seeing this slow, no responde put us under the darkness with no news is no good. Is there big app update coming? Then say it, if not then what is the reason of this huge delay fully in merlin? Its as if you guys abandoned the project and just waiting to milk little bit money before shutting services declaring bankruptcy.
Dont tell me that my thinking is absurd. More than 1 month ago i asked to support via email when to implement new LLMs, support said thanks but still nothing wth?

In most suscriptions, a few hours (or a day) after a new model is released it is available to use. But in Merlin it took weeks to have the latest frontier models...

We don’t have a clear ETA to share right now, but we’re actively working on a new round of updates, and
GLM-5.1, Minimax M2.7, Claude Opus 4.7, and Kimi K2.6
are definitely on our radar. Our team is exploring the best way to bring these and other newer models to Merlin, and we’ll do our very best to add them as soon as we can. Your suggestions really help us prioritize what to ship next, so thank you for sharing them!

Merlin Can you please explain so it takes so long for new models to be added to Merlin? I love this platform but it is by far the slowest that I use in terms of how long it takes to update models. Why does it take so long?

Merlin I think that you can be open here - we can all understand that
- compute is expensive
- even more so for hosting the latest models (even if open-source)
- You basically need to wait until everything calms down
