Thanks for raising this! Just to clarify, when you select a video model from the dropdown (like Seedance), the video will be generated from that specific model. The LLM model shown in the dropdown is for text generation only, it doesn't affect video generation.

So if you've selected Seedance for videos, it will use Seedance. The text model dropdown just shows your current LLM selection for chat, not for video creation.

That said, if the UI is confusing or misleading, that's something we can look into improving. Let us know if you have more details at support@getmerlin.in and we'll take a closer look!
